Tell us about your company or studio.
Our company name is Red Box Photography. We have been in business for 6 years and are located in Bonita Springs, Florida. Our specialty is modern Senior Pictures. We also take pictures of families, newborns, maternity, corporate headshots, and model shots.Why photography?
Ashley went to school for video and media production and enjoyed the more immediate satisfaction and precision that she could obtain with still photography. We found that it is a career that allowed us to spend more time with our family without compromising business aspiration and our creative itch.Why do you use AsukaBook?
We use AsukaBook because the quality is the best. As long as we have used AsukaBook we have never had to have anything reprinted. I also like that I can point out to our clients the laminate page option, which makes it more of an heirloom and long lasting, which no other coffee table book companies offer. Our favorite book is the EX Line with Laminate Pages.Any selling tips for other photographers?
We will always point out the laminate pages because they are very sturdy and hold up very nicely. We also love the binding that AsukaBook uses. It is very superior, and will not fall apart after use like many of the online coffee table books.What else should people know about you?
Well first of all, we are a husband and wife team. Ashley not only takes pictures but enjoys doing makeup as well. Sam lived in Bolivia and can speak fluent Spanish, which surprisingly comes in very handy. We also homeschool our children. One thing that sets us apart is that we have chosen to heavily outsource by having multiple full time employees. This has allowed us to prioritize our family.We support Compassion International (supporting children) and Kiva (microfinance agency).
Both of our fathers were into photography. We both remember going through their black and white photos from college.
The funniest place we have shot is Dinosaur World in Plant City, Florida. Let's just say we definitely had to be creative.
Our favorite shoot was working with Tara Rose at Ring Finger Studio in Miami, Florida. We shot all of her products, and it was very interesting to style and place. She is a dear friend, and has impeccable taste, so it was easy to relax and really focus on the final outcome of the images.
