Tell us about your company or studio.
My name is Angela McLaughlin and I have been in business for 4 years as Tiny Touch Photography. The studio located in Gambrills, MD which is right in between Baltimore and Washington DC. We have a beautiful 1400 square foot space specially designed to give clients a comfortable and homey place to come and enjoy their experience. My specialty is newborns and children.
Why photography?
When you have a baby it seems so surreal that the sleeping baby next to you is yours, and is so perfect. You want to just stare at them and want to embrace the moment, freeze it in time. Babies grow so fast and change so quickly that in a blink of an eye that newness is gone. I have always wanted to own my own business, so when I became inspired by photography I seen the potential and went for it.
Why do you use AsukaBook?
I use AsukaBook because it is the best quality of any album I have ever seen. I want to only offer my client's the best, and this is it. The one thing that amazed me about AsukaBook is they were willing to send me sample books that were made up before committing to using them. Other book companies have a studio sample program where you can buy it at a discount, but Asuka lets you see their product with no investment at all. This to me says they stand by their product and know you will see it's the best out there.
I use two books from the fabulous lineup: the Book Bound EXD and the NeoClassic Album.
Any selling tips for other photographers?
The best selling tip isn't really a selling tip at all. Be real to your clients and give them an amazing experience. Make every part of your session process enjoyable for them. Give them images that tell a story and are unique to their family and children. When selling, show the clients exactly what they will be receiving. Showing a client a sample album really helps them envision how an album with their images will look.
What else should people know about you?
Photography wasn't ever a hobby for me, even as I had children. My husband is actually the one that bought our first DSLR camera, and I thought he was incredibly crazy for spending so much money on a camera. It wasn't long though before that one click of the shutter changed my career path.
