Tell us about your company or studio.
E. Finlan Photography, out of Mequon, WI, was started five years ago after my family returned from a three-year stint in Germany. I'd never touched a camera until living abroad, but in my head, I was always composing the world in picture form. I can't turn it off, and honestly, I have no desire for that to change. I specialize in weddings and portraiture.
Why photography?
That's easy…there are truly those moments for me where the sky opens up, I contemplate releasing doves, and I peek at the back of my camera, knowing I've got THE SHOT. I breathe for those moments.
Why do you use AsukaBook?
My first year in business I went to the WPPI convention. Enter, the AsukaBook booth. Today, I still meet the delivery man on my porch, just feverish to throw on those white gloves included in every box! I swear by the EX Line with laminate pages. The binding and page quality are evident, the results, outstanding.
Any selling tips for other photographers?
Because clients have already looked at my website portfolio by the time I meet them, I switch things up by showing them (for example) an album with one wedding from start-to-finish. That connection in viewing a bride/groom's entire day also creates a connection with the look and feel of an AsukaBook album. Quality is easy to sell.
